True graduated 20–30 mmHg

Comfort-brand softness. Clinical-grade numbers.

Most soft, cute compression socks stop at 15–20 mmHg — below the level vascular surgeons prescribe. The clinical brands hit the numbers and look like 1985. Ovena is the missing middle: true graduated 20–30 mmHg you'll actually wear all shift.

Occasions, not conditions

Built for the days that don't sit down

12-hour shifts

Nurses, teachers, trades — designed for long days on your feet, from first rounds to last call for the elevator.

Pregnancy

Many OBs suggest graduated compression during pregnancy — ask yours what level and wear time fit your routine.

Travel days

Long-haul flights and airport miles, in a knee-high that still looks right at the gate and at dinner.

Post-procedure

If your clinician suggested compression after a procedure, follow their guidance on level and wear time — then pick a pair you'll actually put on.

Everyday standing work

Retail floors, kitchens, classrooms, salon chairs — anywhere the workday is measured in hours upright.

Recovery days

A soft, true-gradient knee-high for the days between long runs and hard training blocks.

Graduated, measured, sized

Why the gradient matters

"Graduated" means the knit is strongest at the ankle and eases as it moves up the calf — measured in mmHg, the same unit as a blood-pressure cuff. That gradient is the whole spec: it's what separates rated compression from a sock that's simply tight everywhere.

And a real gradient requires real sizing. Ovena sizes by ankle and calf circumference, not shoe size — the 60-second fit quiz walks you through both measurements.

Fuller calves aren't an edge case — measure your calf and size up if you're between sizes; the 60-second fit quiz tells you exactly when. A dedicated wide-calf cut is on the roadmap.

The routine is the product

A single pair gets skipped the day it's in the laundry; a rotation of three doesn't. The stack is a system — three pairs in rotation, a donning aid for the mornings your hands or back don't cooperate, and wash care that preserves the elasticity the gradient depends on.

Ovena Health is a wound-care company founded by David Chahine, MD. The compression line is held to the same discipline as the rest of the catalog: true graduated 20–30 mmHg, knit in an ISO 13485-certified facility, sized by real ankle and calf measurements — and designed so that nobody in the elevator can tell it's built to a clinical spec.

Questions people ask us

What does 20–30 mmHg actually mean?
mmHg is millimeters of mercury — the same pressure unit a blood-pressure cuff uses. In a graduated 20–30 mmHg sock, the knit delivers its rated pressure at the ankle and eases as it moves up the calf. Most lifestyle compression stops at 15–20 mmHg; 20–30 mmHg is the level vascular surgeons prescribe.
How do I know my size?
Measure your ankle and calf circumference — not your shoe size. The 60-second fit quiz walks you through both measurements and lands on your size (S–XL). If your calf measures fuller, the quiz tells you when to size up — and a dedicated wide-calf cut is on the roadmap.
How long do pairs last?
Elasticity is a consumable — every rated compression sock loses its gradient with wear and washing. A three-pair rotation and proper wash care (gentle cycle or hand wash with the $3.99 pH-balanced cleanser, no fabric softener, air dry) extend the life of each pair considerably. Today you reorder manually — join the email list for replacement reminders, and a refill program is on the roadmap. Gradients fade, and a rated sock should be replaced before it becomes just a sock.
Can I wear them pregnant?
Many OBs suggest graduated compression during pregnancy. Ask your OB what compression level and wear time make sense for you, and re-measure as your fit changes.
What's the exchange policy?
Easy exchanges on unworn pairs. If the size isn't right when you try them on, we'll swap them — any size, S through XL. The fit quiz makes a first-try fit much more likely, but you're not stuck with a guess.
Important: This page is educational. Ovena compression socks are graduated compression hosiery. If compression was recommended for a medical condition or after a procedure, follow your clinician's guidance on compression level and wear time.
