Physician-led · Hydrocolloid Roll

Cover the hot spot before mile 1.

Race morning · covered at the start

Every runner knows the spots that always rub — the heel rim, the pinky-toe knuckle. Cut those pieces the night before, press them on at the start line, and spend the race thinking about your splits instead.

Race-day ritual

Nothing new on race day — including blisters.

You rehearse the gels, the shoes, the pace. Rehearse the coverage too: cut the shapes your feet always ask for and press them on before the corrals open.

What happens underneath

A hydrocolloid seal, not just a cover.

The same dressing class used in clinical wound care — it forms a protective seal that supports your skin's own moist healing environment. Always follow the package directions.

From cut to peel

What happens once it's on.

What the hydrocolloid seal does from the moment you put it on — cut, apply, protect, remove. Always use as directed.

Trim the exact oval, strip, or dot the spot needs.

2

Seals & cushions

Press it on — it forms a low-profile seal that cushions the area.

3

Showers & long days

Water-resistant, so it stays put through showers and time on your feet.

4

Peels off clean

A gentle, low-trauma adhesive eases off without pulling at skin or hair.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

When should I put it on?
On clean, dry skin before the socks go on — press each piece down firmly for a slow thirty seconds. Practice once in training first: nothing new on race day.
Will it stay on for a long race?
The hydrocolloid material is water-resistant and designed to stay sealed through sweat. Wear and replace per the package directions.
Can I use it on a blister that already came up?
Yes — cut a piece a little larger than the spot and press it on clean, dry skin. The pad cushions it so you can keep moving. Use as directed.
Does it work under race-day shoes?
It’s low-profile — thin enough to disappear under socks and narrow race shoes.
Is it FSA/HSA eligible?
Eligible where applicable — check your plan’s guidelines.

The Ovena Health Hydrocolloid Dressing Roll provides cut-to-size, low-profile, water-resistant coverage for small-area protection. This page is for general product information and is not medical advice. Clean and dry the area first and use only on minor, superficial breaks in the skin — not on deep, dirty, infected, puncture, or bite wounds, or burns. Change the dressing when it lifts or leaks, and stop and see a clinician if you notice spreading redness, increasing pain, pus, or fever. Follow the package directions and consult a clinician for medical concerns. If you have diabetes, nerve damage, or poor circulation, don't self-treat foot blisters or sores — see a clinician promptly. FSA/HSA eligibility varies by plan.
